What you are actually preparing for.
PvP is the only content where the other side is also optimising, so information advantage and reaction speed matter more than anywhere else.
Wilderness encounters, target information and equipment setup are the usual starting points. Pick one, then prepare the equipment, supplies and travel it needs.
Settle these first.
- Know your gear switches by muscle memory before you go out
- Set a risk level you are actually willing to lose
- Understand the escape options for the area you are entering
The plugin types that apply here.
Opponent gear and stat information. Knowing what the other player is holding decides your prayer and your switch. It is the highest-value information in the fight.
Freeze, spec and cooldown timers. PvP is a timing game. Freeze windows and special attack availability decide who commits.
Loadout and switch tooling. Switch speed is the mechanical skill of PvP, and it is the part that setup can genuinely help with.
The mistake to avoid.
Practise the switches somewhere safe first. The Wilderness is an expensive place to discover your keybinds are wrong.
Before you install anything.
Read each plugin's current feature list rather than its category name, and start with the information you actually need for the session. Check compatibility after client or game updates, and disable a plugin that behaves unexpectedly.
These are activity categories, not a promise that every example has a matching RLPlugins release. The public matches below use catalogue descriptions and tags.
