RuneLite, Plugin Hub and RLPlugins.
RuneLite is an open-source client for Old School RuneScape. It includes built-in plugins and provides a Plugin Hub for additional community plugins. RLPlugins is a separate platform with its own catalogue, account access and launcher.
Installing through RLPlugins does not mean a plugin has been reviewed by RuneLite or approved by Jagex. Check the source, current description and game rules for the exact tool you intend to use.
Start with the job you need done.
Browse by skill or activity, then read the actual feature list. Terms such as “overlay”, “helper” and “automation” can describe very different behaviours. Do not assume that a plugin is allowed simply because another plugin has a similar name.
Understand the review boundary.
RuneLite describes its Plugin Hub review as a best-effort review for security and game-rule compliance. It does not certify plugin functionality, performance or compatibility with other plugins. That process applies to its own distribution system, not automatically to the RLPlugins catalogue.
Install from the right place.

Open the plugin configuration panel in RuneLite, then select the plug icon at the top right. Search the exact plugin name in Plugin Hub and select Install. The official Plugin Hub directory lists the plugins and their authors.

- Read the current RLPlugins download requirements.
- Use the launcher offered on that page.
- Sign in using the Discord account associated with your plugin access.
- Read each plugin's instructions and configure only what you need.

Keep your setup understandable.
After a game or client update, check the relevant release information. If a plugin fails, disable it and ask support with the plugin name, your operating system and the visible error. Never share passwords or session tokens.
