What you are actually preparing for.
Minigames each have their own rules, their own reward currency and their own timer, and none of that carries over from the last one you played.
Wintertodt, Tempoross, Guardians of the Rift and Barbarian Assault are the usual starting points. Pick one, then prepare the equipment, supplies and travel it needs.
Settle these first.
- Read the current reward rates before committing an evening
- Know the round timings so you arrive at the start, not the middle
- Bring the specific supplies that minigame consumes
The plugin types that apply here.
Round and phase timers. Most minigames run on a clock. Arriving mid-round is the standard way to waste twenty minutes.
Points and reward tracking. Currency earned per hour is the only way to compare a minigame against just doing the content directly.
Objective indicators. The rules are local to the minigame. Surfacing the current objective shortens the learning curve considerably.
The mistake to avoid.
Check whether the reward is still worth it. Minigame rates get adjusted, so check when a guide was last updated.
Before you install anything.
Read each plugin's current feature list rather than its category name, and start with the information you actually need for the session. Check compatibility after client or game updates, and disable a plugin that behaves unexpectedly.
These are activity categories, not a promise that every example has a matching RLPlugins release. The public matches below use catalogue descriptions and tags.
