What you are actually preparing for.
Challenge content is designed to punish one specific mistake repeatedly, which makes it the best possible use of a single, focused overlay.
Fight Caves, Inferno, Fortis Colosseum and combat achievements are the usual starting points. Pick one, then prepare the equipment, supplies and travel it needs.
Settle these first.
- Identify the mechanic that ends your attempts and plan for that one
- Bring the supplies for the full attempt, not the average attempt
- Practise the pattern somewhere cheaper first
The plugin types that apply here.
Attack and prayer indicators. Challenge content usually punishes a wrong prayer more than a slow one. Knowing what is coming is the whole fight.
Timers and attempt tracking. Splits between checkpoints turn 'that felt bad' into a number you can improve.
Health and supply warnings. Long attempts fail on attrition. Warnings buy you the decision to leave with the attempt intact.
The mistake to avoid.
Change one thing per attempt. Changing three means you learn nothing from either the success or the failure.
Before you install anything.
Read each plugin's current feature list rather than its category name, and start with the information you actually need for the session. Check compatibility after client or game updates, and disable a plugin that behaves unexpectedly.
These are activity categories, not a promise that every example has a matching RLPlugins release. The public matches below use catalogue descriptions and tags.
