What you are actually preparing for.
Clues are a lookup problem with a reward at the end: the difficulty is knowing where a step points, not doing it.
Clue tiers, item requirements, emote outfits and destination planning are the usual starting points. Pick one, then prepare the equipment, supplies and travel it needs.
Settle these first.
- Keep the common step items together in one place
- Know which teleports serve the areas your tier sends you to
- Decide how many clues you are willing to hold before you cash them
The plugin types that apply here.
Step and location helpers. The whole activity is turning a riddle into a location. That is exactly what an overlay can do without playing for you.
Item and emote reminders. Emote steps and required items are the two places people stall. Both are pure recall problems.
Reward tracking. Clue value is highly variable. Tracking it over time is the only way to know whether the tier is worth your hours.
The mistake to avoid.
Keep a dedicated clue setup in the bank. Keeping common items together reduces repeated bank searches.
Before you install anything.
Read each plugin's current feature list rather than its category name, and start with the information you actually need for the session. Check compatibility after client or game updates, and disable a plugin that behaves unexpectedly.
These are activity categories, not a promise that every example has a matching RLPlugins release. The public matches below use catalogue descriptions and tags.
